"The ferry ran on time and the..."
The ferry ran on time and the staff were friendly, which made the start of the day feel really easy. Rottnest itself was absolutely beautiful, and I’m glad we went. The only letdown was the guide commentary, at times it was a bit hard to follow, and some parts felt like they dragged on while others seemed rushed. I found myself feeling a little frustrated because I wanted to enjoy the stories more. Overall, it was still a nice day out, just not quite as amazing as I’d hoped for the price.

"Handy if you are staying near Fremantle"
The departure spot worked out well for us because we were already staying near Fremantle. It was easy enough to find, but dealing with parking and getting our bags there was a bit of a hassle. Overall, it was fine, just not quite as smooth as I was hoping

We had to cancel our Rottnest trip at the last minute, the cancellation process was simple. At the same time, it felt a bit frustrating because the refund didn’t come through as quickly as I thought it would. I ended up having to follow up once, which wasn’t a huge deal, but still a little annoying. The staff were nice and helpful enough, though I also felt like the refund details could’ve been explained more clearly from the start.

"Decent trip, but the weather updates need work"
We booked Rottnest Express on a windy day, and to be fair, the ferry still ran and the staff were perfectly fine. Nothing dramatic happened, everyone was nice enough, and we got where we needed to go.
But then suddenly the ride got rough and I was like, okay, this is not exactly the breezy little ferry trip I had in mind. I just wish the weather updates and options had been easier to find before we left, because we had to dig around and only really figured things out late. Not awful, just more stressful than it needed to be.

"Easy little ferry trip with the kids"
We took the ferry with our two kids and it was such an easy day out. I was half expecting the pram and bags to be a hassle, but the staff helped us out straight away, which made a big difference. The kids loved being on the ferry too, kept pointing at everything, then asking for snacks, then back to looking out the window. It just felt relaxed overall and worked really well for a family day trip

"Really smooth experience"
They kept me updated the whole time, which made everything feel stress-free. I kept wondering if I should be worrying about something, but there really wasn’t anything to worry about.

"Pretty good, just a few timing gaps"
Overall the times were handy and it all worked out fine, but there were a few gaps in the afternoon that got abit annoying when we wanted to come back earlier. Booking was easy enough tho, I just wish there were a few more optiosn to pick from...

"Had a really good day with..."
Had a really good day with Rottnest Express. Everything was simple to follow, the staff made it clear where we needed to be and when, and it all ran pretty much on time. I was fully expecting the day to get a bit chaotic at some point, but nope, suddenly I was just relaxed and enjoying myself. No stress, no confusion, just an easy day out. I’d happily book with them again

"Cute quokkas, but the day felt a little rushed"
I mostly went for the quokkas they were the highlight. Adorable. We spotted a few wandering around near the paths, and the ferry staff were friendly enough, so that part of the day was easygoing.
That said, I’m giving it 3 stars because it felt quite rushed and busy. Crowds. It was hard to slow down and properly enjoy the wildlife with people everywhere, but overall it was still a decent day out.

The trip itself was fine, and booking everything was straightforward. I didn’t run into any major issues, but the ticket price felt a little high for what was included. I might go again if it was convenient or on sale, but for me, the overall value just wasn’t that impressive.

"Parking was one less thing to stress about"
I used Rottnest Express last weekend i was feeling mentally drained already, so I was worried parking was going to be a hassle. Luckily it was actually really easy. Found a spot quickly and didn’t have to walk far to the ferry, which made the morning feel a lot less stressful. I’d definitely use them again.

We hired bikes through Rottnest Express and it was all easy. The staff showed us where to go, the bikes were in good condition, and returning them was no hassle at all. It made getting around the island so much easier

"Smooth and Easy Trip to Rottnest"
The crew were really professional and stayed calm even when it got a little windy, which made the trip feel very safe and well organised. It was an easy, stress-free ride to Rottnest overall. Nothing too fancy, just a solid and comfortable experience

"Bags were fine, but the handle got scratched"
The bags arrived okay overall, but one of the handles was scratched up when I got them. Maybe I'm being too picky about it, since everything else seemed fine, but I did notice it right away and it was a little disappointing.

"Really helpful with wheelchair access"
The staff were really kind and made boarding so much easier for my mum in her wheelchair. I’d already checked the details in the confirmation email, and everything went smoothly when we got there. It took a lot of stress out of the day.

"Such an easy start to the day"
We used Rottnest Express for a day trip i was relieved by how smoothly it all went. Both ferries left pretty much on time, which made a bigger difference than I expected because I hate starting a trip feeling stressed or rushed. Boarding was simple, we weren’t left standing around forever, and the whole thing just felt calm and well organised. It put me in a much better mood for the day. I’d definitely use them again.

Just a quick heads-up for anyone booking a Rottnest ferry and worried about sneaky add-ons: I booked through Rottnest Express and the pricing was clear the whole way through. The fare, bike hire, and extras were all shown before I paid, so there weren’t any weird surprises at checkout.
I’m usually cautious with online bookings because fees can suddenly appear at the end, but this one was straightforward. What I saw was what I paid, which made planning the day trip a lot easier. a solid 5 stars from me

"Decent trip, but cleanliness should be better"
The trip itself was fine, no major complaints there. But I did notice crumbs on the seats and tables, which felt a bit careless. It wasn’t disgusting or anything, but if people are paying for the ride, it’s only fair to keep the space clean. Basic cleanliness should be a given.

The staff were really nice, to be fair. We got a bit confused about the boarding time and they helped us out, so that was good. It just still felt kind of rushed and busy, like everyone was trying to figure things out at the same time. We ended up waiting around for a while too, and there weren’t many updates, which was a bit annoying. Not a terrible experience or anything, and the staff did seem like they were doing their best, but it could definitely be more organised
